Counselling and Therapy in West London
Are you looking for counselling in or around Ealing, Chiswick, Acton, Brentford, Hammersmith or Kew?
If you're struggling to make sense of a current situation, feeling stuck, unsure, anxious or overwhelmed, talking to a counsellor can help.
My name is Emma Bell, I'm a relational counsellor based in West London and I offer short and long term counselling to adults. Being a relational counsellor means that I focus on building a trusting, safe and confidential space in which you feel able to explore what has brought you to therapy. The aim, in my view, is not to provide a quick fix but to take a step back, gain perspective, make sense and to improve emotional wellbeing.
I draw on a variety of counselling theory so that together we can make sense of your current situation. I make particular use of attachment theory which considers the nature of our connections with others based on how our connections were established with our earliest care givers.
As a counsellor, some of the issues I have previously worked with are as follows -
Pregnancy Counselling in West London
I have a particular interest in working with pregnancy and parenting related issues, which often involves exploring reactions to becoming a parent, taking a look at how you were parented and the bigger picture of the nature of how we are in relationship to significant others (attachment theory).
Please note that even though pregnancy and parenting issues are particular interests I have as a therapist, this does not mean that I do not work with other issues. I welcome inquiries from anyone experiencing distress or unhappiness and who is looking to explore and make sense of their feelings.
